Set sail aboard Ocean Spirit, our 32m (105ft) sailing and motor catamaran, to experience Michaelmas Cay’s unique reef environment - a picturesque sand cay encircled by a spectacular fringing reef and an important protected sanctuary for migratory seabirds. Snorkel from the cay’s shallow protected waters, cruise in the semi-submarine for a diver’s view of the reef and observe the island birdlife. If you prefer just relax on the beach or onboard and enjoy a leisurely day on the Great Barrier Reef.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Ocean Spirit Michaelmas Cay Cruise
8.00 am Vessel boarding commences, Morning tea and coffee served on board the vessel until departure. 8.30 am Depart Cairns for Michaelmas Cay, Safety demonstration, reef brief, and snorkelling demonstration. 9.30 am informative Marine Biologist reef presentation. 10.00 am Dive brief for introductory divers. 10.30 am Arrive at Michaelmas Cay, Reef Activities and beach transfers commence: - Fish feeding presentation (onboard) - Snorkelling from the beach - Semi-submarine reef discovery tours - Scuba diving sessions for introductory divers 11 am, 12:15 & 1:30 pm. 12-1.30 pm Buffet lunch served onboard Ocean Spirit. Time to enjoy more Reef Activities. Afternoon tea is served onboard. Depart Michaelmas Cay for Cairns, at 5.00 pm,Arrive at Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal.

Pickups / Departures

Please check in at 7:30am at the Ocean Spirit Check-in counter inside the Reef Fleet Terminal, 1 Spence Street, to obtain your boarding pass.

8:00am: Boarding

8:30am: Departs Cairns

5:00pm: Arrives Cairns

SURCHARGE: Due to potential significant volatility in supply & operational costs a surcharge may be applied due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, any charge will be collected on departure.
